Creating content is always fun to me. Maybe not in the middle of the project, but in the end stepping back to see what you’ve created and feeling that rush of awe is — well.. awesome!
In my courses for Winter Semester 2024, I have had the pleasure of creating some fun content that I would like to share.

Here I created some logo ideas for a theoretical taco truck business, “All Things Deliciosos”.
My first thought was about putting a taco sideways in the “D.” I started with about ten different “D”s and tacos and tried various styles and sizes. None of it looked right.
So, then I started playing around with other iconic Latin pictures like the piñatas, which I liked much better. But since this was a group project and everyone liked #3 with the taco best; that’s the one we kept.

In one of my courses, the marketing campaign objective is to make the 36% of non-coffee drinkers in the US into Starbucks customers. An interesting challenge.
In preparation for the project, I have learned so much about Starbucks and coffee in my research, more than I really ever wanted to know especially as a non-coffee drinker. So, I have turned that research into many of my other assignments.
I am ridiculously pleased with my infographic on the symptoms and sensitivities (see what I did there Jane Austen fans?) of caffeine and withdrawals.
There is a good reason why members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do not coffee and many perfectly acceptable reasons for minimizing or quitting one’s caffeine intake.
Along that theme, I created a new logo for a coffeehouse. I researched the myth and legend of coffee and found out that in the ancient kingdom of Kaffa Ethiopia, a goat herder named Kaldi noticed his goats were super active, frolicking during the night after eating berries from a bush. He brought the berries to a monk and explained what was happening. The monk threw them into the fire crying that they were of the devil, but then the aroma of the roasted berries changed his mind and they brewed it into a drink that helped the monks stay awake during their nightly worship.

So as the story goes, I took the image of the dancing goats and placed it in a coffee cup spill stain and changed the color to exciting (the coffee world has too many brand colors with earthy browns, greens, reds, etc.) For the name, I played off the legend and the words Kaffa (Ethiopian Kingdom) and Cafe, and called it Myth Kaffe. I am super pleased with how it turned out.
Overall, I enjoy making content and using Canva makes it so easy for an amateur such as myself to turn out some projects that are not too bad, if I do say so myself!
